It is that time of the year again, after hundreds of top fashion models from around the world have gone through the audition and casting process for the annual Victoria’s Secret fashion show. Unfortunately for most of these top fashion models, only a few have come out with angel wings for the famous Victoria’s Secret fashion show.
The Victoria’s Secret legendary Angels take to the runway for the 2018 Victoria’s Secret fashion show (also known as the Victoria’s Secret holiday special), showcasing an all star lineup of musical guests, including Bebe Rexha, The Chainsmokers, Halsey, Kelsea Ballerini, Leela James, Rita Ora, Shawn Mendes, and The Struts. Merging fashion, fantasy, and entertainment, the Victoria’s Secret fashion show is considered to be the world’s most famous fashion show, and is expected to be seen this year in more than 190 countries and territories.
The Victoria’s Secret fashion show is the world’s biggest fashion event, and will be returning to New York City this year after recent productions in London, Paris, and Shanghai China. The Victoria’s Secret fashion show is a year long production, and 2018 promises to be the most ambitious yet according to Victoria’s Secret executive producer Ed Razek. This year, Victoria’s Secret has more musical guests, more fashion, and more beautiful stories than ever before, and of course, approximately 60 of the world’s top fashion models.
Most of the official Victoria’s Secret Angels will be walking at the Victoria’s Secret fashion show: Adriana Lima, Candice Swanepoel, Elsa Hosk, Sara Sampaio, Lais Ribeiro, Josephine Skriver, Stella Maxwell, Jasmine Tookes, Taylor Hill, Romee Strijd, and Martha Hunt. The only major Victoria’s Secret models that will not be present are Victoria’s Secret Angels Lily Aldridge since she is expecting her second child, and Brazilian supermodel Alessandra Ambrosio, who confirmed last year that she would be hanging up her wings after 12 years of walking for the Victoria’s Secret brand.
Joining Victoria’s Secret Angels Adriana Lima, Behati Prinsloo (back after a three year hiatus), Candice Swanepoel, Elsa Hosk, Jasmine Tookes, Josephine Skriver, Lais Ribeiro, Martha Hunt, Romee Strijd, Sara Sampaio, Stella Maxwell, and Taylor Hill will be internationally known sisters Gigi Hadid and Bella Hadid, as well as world famous fashion model Kendall Jenner.
Only one show on television brings together the biggest names in music and the top fashion models from around the globe for an exciting hour of entertainment, beautiful fashion, and style. This year, Victoria’s Secret (the #1 lingerie brand in the world in terms of global sales and market share) added about 18 new models to the Victoria’s Secret lineup. Some Victoria’s Secret models who took a hiatus for a few years will be making a comeback, while regulars like Devon Windsor, Kelly Gale, Georgia Fowler, and Leomie Anderson will also be present at the Victoria’s Secret fashion show this year.

1. Kendall Jenner (United States) with model earnings for the year of $22 million dollars.
The 23 year old supermodel (born in Los Angeles, California) has over 98 million Instagram followers, more than double any other model on the list. Kendall Jenner has turned digital fame into millions of dollars, advertising for cosmetics giant Estée Lauder, lingerie brand La Perla and sneaker maker Adidas, among other world class fashion brands. Non-modeling money from her family’s E! reality show Keeping Up with the Kardashians, social media endorsements, and her Kendall + Kylie clothing line added to her total earnings.
2. Gigi Hadid (United States) with model earnings for the year of $9.5 million dollars.
Thanks to her 38 million Instagram followers, the 23 year old fashion model (born in Los Angeles, California) can command top dollars from brands eager to reach her young fans. A selling point herself, Gigi Hadid has her own collections with makeup giant Maybelline, Vogue eyewear, and Tommy Hilfiger. With her sister Bella Hadid, the Hadid sisters are the first siblings to both be included on the lists of the highest paid models in the world (the world’s highest paid models).

Budapest, Hungary native Barbara Palvin was discovered at age 12 while running errands with her mother in a nearby village. Barbara captured the attention of Karl Lagerfeld after being cast in a Chanel Haute Couture show in Saint-Tropez. Lagerfeld subsequently booked her for multiple advertising campaigns for Chanel’s cosmetics and fragrance collections.
In less than two seasons on the international fashion circuit, Barbara famously walked her first Victoria’s Secret runway show and signed on as a global beauty ambassador for L’Oréal Paris. At just 26, the St. Louis native (Karlie Kloss was born in Chicago, Illinois) has been on the cover of Vogue’s various editions 36 times. Her current modeling contracts include lucrative deals with companies such as Adidas, Swarovski, and Express. Karlie Kloss is the founder of Kode With Klossy, an education nonprofit that has taught more than 500 women and girls the basics of computer programming and software development. Karlie Kloss also runs a YouTube channel and hosts a talk show on Freeform (formerly known as ABC Family, which is owned by the Walt Disney Company).

Australian beauty Alannah Walton was discovered on Instagram. The Sydney Australia native was brought up on the northern beaches and was training to be a professional swimmer before being discovered by her modeling agency.
Since signing with her modeling agency, Alannah Walton has appeared in Vogue Australia, Elle Australia, Vogue Japan, and Grazia while working with top fashion photographers such as Mario Testino, Steven Chee, Darren McDonald, and Adam Franzino. Victoria’s Secret model Alannah Walton has shot for Victoria’s Secret PINK, and most notably, at only 18 years old, Alannah Walton recently made her fashion runway debut at the 2018 Victoria’s Secret fashion show.

The Nigerian Victoria’s Secret model was casted for last year’s Victoria’s Secret fashion show, but after her visa was denied by the Chinese government, she was unable to walk in the 2017 Victoria’s Secret fashion show in Shanghai China. Thankfully, Nigerian fashion model Mayowa Nicholas had a second chance and successfully walked in the 2018 Victoria’s Secret fashion show in New York City.

Antonia “Toni” Garrn (born on July 7, 1992) is a German fashion model. In 2008, Toni Garrn got her big break in the fashion modeling industry after signing an exclusive contract with Calvin Klein (Toni Garrn debuted on the fashion runway at the age of 15 as an exclusive fashion model for the Calvin Klein spring summer 2008 fashion runway show in New York).
Supermodel Toni Garrn was born Antonia Garrn in Hamburg, Germany. When Toni Garrn was two years old, she moved with her family to London, and later to Athens when she was six years old. By the age of 10, Toni Garrn moved back to Hamburg with her family and was discovered during the 2006 FIFA World Cup in her hometown Hamburg when she was 13 years old. Victoria’s Secret German supermodel Toni Garrn has walked in three Victoria’s Secret fashion shows, but her last appearance was in 2013. The 26 year old Victoria’s Secret catwalk veteran will make her return this year.
