Gisele Bundchen left IMG Models in early 2021 after approximately 22 years of being represented by the fashion modeling agency. Gisele Bunchen is one of the world’s most famous fashion models, and now she’s saying goodbye to her fashion modeling agency, IMG Models, after 22 years of working together. The 40 year old supermodel beauty is reportedly taking her fashion modeling representation in-house, with twin sister and manager Patricia Bundchen set to take the reigns of her fashion modeling career.

Gisele is believed to be one of the modeling industry’s top earners. Discovered when she was just 14 years old while at a mall in her native Brazil, the 5 foot 11 inches supermodel became a fashion modeling star during New York Fashion Week in 1996, having made her runway debut just two years earlier in 1994.

Gisele Bundchen was a Victoria’s Secret Angel from 2000 to 2007, wearing the coveted Fantasy Bra in 2000 and 2005, and has also graced over 41 Vogue covers throughout her fabulous fashion modeling career. In 2016 Brazilian supermodel announced she was quitting the catwalk, sharing on Instagram and writing:

Thirteen years ago, Taylor Swift opened her song “Love Story” with a memory: “We were both young when I first saw you,” the precocious country star, then 18, sang in the lead single from her 2008 “Fearless” album, “I close my eyes and the flashback starts.”

On Thursday night (February 11, 2021), legendary 10 times Grammy Awards winner Taylor Swift, now 31 years old and one of the world’s most famous and highest paid music singers, released a re-recorded version of the Romeo and Juliet theme “Love Story” as the first sample from a highly anticipated re-release of her famous “Fearless” music album due April 9, 2021. Co-produced by Taylor Swift and Chris Rowe (a longtime Nashville music studio professional who worked on Taylor Swift’s early music records) and featuring a number of the musicians who played on the original, the new “Love Story” — officially titled “Love Story (Taylor’s Version)” — is virtually indistinguishable from the original song version that gave Taylor Swift her first top 10 music hit when she was not yet the world famous music star that she is today.

After more than a year of anticipation, Taylor Swift has begun releasing re-recorded versions of her old music classics, starting with “Love Story” which was originally released in late 2008 as the lead single for Taylor Swift’s second music album “Fearless.” It has been certified eight-times platinum by the Recording Industry Association of America and is widely considered to be Taylor Swift’s signature song.

The new “Love Story” version released on Friday remains largely faithful to the country pop original song, which was inspired by William Shakespeare’s “Romeo and Juliet” story.

Back in August 2019, Taylor Swift confirmed her plans to re-record her first six music albums, from her self-titled debut to 2017’s “Reputation” music album. The original master recordings were owned by Big Machine Records, the Nashville based music label where Taylor Swift signed her first record contract at age 15 (ownership of a music artist’s masters, which is typical of a major music label company, is what enables the music label company to profit from music sales and music streams and to control the use of the artist’s music in movies, television shows, and television commercials).

After her music contract expired in 2018, Taylor Swift signed with Universal Music Group, whose terms allow her to retain the rights to all new music (a catalog that now includes 2019’s “Lover,” 2020’s “Folklore,” and 2020’s “Evermore”).

The real drama began when celebrity music manager Scooter Braun (who represents music stars Kanye West, Ariana Grande, and Justin Bieber) purchased Big Machine Records (the acquisition was done through his company Ithaca Holdings) in June 2019 for approximately $300 million United States dollars. Taylor Swift said she was “sad and grossed out” that Scooter Braun had acquired ownership of her music catalog and accused him of bullying her in the past.

Bothered by music executive Scooter Braun’s purchase of her old label Big Machine Records in 2019, Taylor Swift said that year that she planned to re-record her first six music albums as a way to potentially diminish the value of the master recordings acquired by Scooter Braun, known among other things for his work with Taylor Swift’s longtime nemesis Kanye West.

Just 17 months later, Scooter Braun sold Taylor Swift’s music catalog (and master rights) to Shamrock Capital, an investment fund, for more than $300 million United States dollars. According to Taylor Swift, Shamrock Capital offered to work with her, but she declined when she learned that Scooter Braun would retain a financial interest in her music. In a letter she posted on Twitter, Taylor Swift told Shamrock’s partners that she intended to proceed with re-recording her old music — the idea being that her new song versions would supplant the originals in the music market.

The question is why did Taylor Swift remake “Fearless,” her second music studio album, first? By some measures the music album “Fearless” is Taylor Swift’s most successful LP (an LP is a full-length music album), having sold more than 10 million copies and winning four Grammy Awards, including album of the year. The new edition of “Fearless” will feature 26 songs, including previously unreleased songs Taylor Swift wrote around the same time as “Love Story” and other music hits like “Fifteen” and “You Belong With Me” which made Taylor Swift very famous.

In a note to her music fans, Taylor Swift said that her approach to re-recording “Fearless” would hopefully help illuminate her desire to remake and re-release old music.

“Artists should own their own work for so many reasons, but the most screamingly obvious one is that the artist is the only one who really knows that body of work,” Taylor Swift wrote to her music fans. “For example, only I know which songs I wrote that almost made the ‘Fearless’ album,” she continued. “Songs I absolutely adored, but were held back for different reasons.”

The updated version will include six additional tracks that were never officially released. “I’ve decided I want you to have the whole story, see the entire vivid picture, and let you into the entire dreamscape that is my ‘Fearless’ album,” Taylor Swift wrote to her hundreds of millions of music fans located around the world.

What Is Paris Fashion Week?

Paris Fashion Week held in late February / early March and then again in late September / early October of each year, is a semi-annual series of events (generally lasting 7–9 days) when international fashion collections are shown to buyers, the press, and the general public. Paris Fashion Week is one of the four major fashion weeks in the world, the others being New York Fashion Week, London Fashion Week, and Milan Fashion Week.

What Is Fashion Month?

Fashion month is generally a four week period of high fashion runway shows that is scheduled twice a year in February and September, during which fashion designers from around the world showcase their newest and most beautiful fashion collections.

A big surprise experienced by many newly recruited fashion models by the top modeling agencies in the world (including many fashion models that grew up in New York City and join a top New York modeling agency) is that Fashion Week is not really a week, but more like a month (which can be extremely exhausting for new fashion models, experienced fashion models, famous fashion models, and even supermodels).

Even more surprising for new fashion models is that they have to travel to a different country every week during that whole month, and then repeat the whole process again (traveling from fashion city to fashion city covering four different countries in two different continents separated by the Atlantic Ocean) approximately six months later for another full month of nerve-racking modeling auditions, casting calls, and high fashion runway shows.

Not yet impressed? Well, we are just getting started because we haven’t even included Paris Haute Couture Week which is generally held in January and July of each year, plus all the other important Fashion Weeks such as Brazil’s São Paulo Fashion Week (Latin America’s pre-eminent fashion event), Madrid Fashion Week (Spain), and Berlin Fashion Week (Germany), all of which are also held twice each year. In other words, if you are a top fashion model or supermodel represented by a top modeling agency, chances are that you will have an extremely busy and full fashion runway modeling schedule during the year, and this is without counting scheduled work for print advertisements (which can pay extremely well if they are for top fashion brands), as well as fashion editorials for prestigious fashion magazines such as Vogue, Elle, Harper’s Bazaar, and W magazine.

That said, a top fashion model will probably not have the time to do all of these additional Fashion Weeks (beyond the “Big Four” Fashion Weeks mentioned above which receive the majority of press coverage) because she will also most likely want to audition for television commercials (which can pay over $50,000.00 United States dollars per national television commercial), television shows that might require beautiful fashion models, and major motion pictures that might require beautiful fashion models with acting skills for secondary acting roles. In addition, top fashion models and supermodels might have clauses in their fashion modeling contracts with major fashion companies that might require them to reserve a few days each year for guest appearances at prestigious fashion events. Talk about exhilarating and exhausting work, and high fashion modeling should be the very first thing on your mind.

Fashion Week Schedule For High Fashion Models

Fashion Week generally starts in New York City before moving to London, Milan, and Paris (in that specific order). New fashion models, experienced fashion models, famous fashion models, and even supermodels generally stay between 7 to 9 days in each city (the four cities are collectively known around the world as the fashion capitals of the world). The clothes showcased at Fashion Week set the fashion agenda for the following months. Everything that you see in prestigious fashion magazines such as Vogue and on the shelves of high fashion retailers will most likely have been influenced by what was on display during the previous fashion month.

Who Gets Invited To New York Fashion Week? Who Gets To Attend Paris Fashion Week, London Fashion Week, & Milan Fashion Week In Beautiful Italy?

Despite its huge impact on the fashion industry, Fashion Week remains an invite-only fashion event. The front row for many of the top fashion shows is usually made up of the most important fashion editors, fashion buyers, and fashion influencers, while other members of the fashion industry (think modeling agency agents, less important retail buyers, etc.) typically fill up the rows behind during each high fashion show.

That said, there are still plenty of fashion parties and fashion events that sell tickets to the general public. In London, for example, there is London Fashion Week Festival, which is organized by the British Fashion Council and takes place immediately after Fashion Week. In addition, exclusive fashion shopping events are also available, giving fashion fans an insight into what Fashion Week is all about as part of the fashion modeling industry.

What Is The Difference Between The February Fashion Week And September Fashion Week Runway Shows?

In February of each year, fashion designers will debut their fall (autumn) and winter fashion collections for that year (winter also covers the first few months of the following year in the northern hemisphere), while the spring and summer fashion collections for the following year are showcased in September. This is to give retail buyers and fashion editors in attendance enough time to choose what they would like to purchase or feature before the clothes arrive to high fashion retail stores.

The high fashion runway shows usually last no longer than 10 to 20 minutes, but fashion presentations (which give Fashion Week guests the opportunity to peruse collections in an exhibition type setting) can generally last a few hours.

New York Fashion Week For Fashion Runway Models

New York Fashion Week is normally the longest of all the Fashion Weeks, with a packed fashion runway schedule for fashion models and supermodels. New York Fashion Week highlights generally include the Ralph Lauren, Oscar de la Renta, Marc Jacobs, and Coach high fashion runway shows. In addition, New York Fashion Week runway shows can sometimes take place all around New York City, and not just in one central location.

London Fashion Week For Fashion Runway Models

London Fashion Week is similar to New York Fashion Week in that fashion designers often choose to host their own fashion runway shows in various locations throughout the capital.
