It is that time of the year again, after hundreds of top fashion models from around the world have gone through the audition and casting process for the annual Victoria’s Secret fashion show. Unfortunately for most of these top fashion models, only a few have come out with angel wings for the famous Victoria’s Secret fashion show.
The Victoria’s Secret legendary Angels take to the runway for the 2018 Victoria’s Secret fashion show (also known as the Victoria’s Secret holiday special), showcasing an all star lineup of musical guests, including Bebe Rexha, The Chainsmokers, Halsey, Kelsea Ballerini, Leela James, Rita Ora, Shawn Mendes, and The Struts. Merging fashion, fantasy, and entertainment, the Victoria’s Secret fashion show is considered to be the world’s most famous fashion show, and is expected to be seen this year in more than 190 countries and territories.
The Victoria’s Secret fashion show is the world’s biggest fashion event, and will be returning to New York City this year after recent productions in London, Paris, and Shanghai China. The Victoria’s Secret fashion show is a year long production, and 2018 promises to be the most ambitious yet according to Victoria’s Secret executive producer Ed Razek. This year, Victoria’s Secret has more musical guests, more fashion, and more beautiful stories than ever before, and of course, approximately 60 of the world’s top fashion models.

Thanks to her 38 million Instagram followers, the 23 year old fashion model (born in Los Angeles, California) can command top dollars from brands eager to reach her young fans. A selling point herself, Gigi Hadid has her own collections with makeup giant Maybelline, Vogue eyewear, and Tommy Hilfiger. With her sister Bella Hadid, the Hadid sisters are the first siblings to both be included on the lists of the highest paid models in the world (the world’s highest paid models).
Budapest, Hungary native Barbara Palvin was discovered at age 12 while running errands with her mother in a nearby village. She received her first break in 2010 walking as an exclusive for Prada in Milan, and since then has walked for designers such as Louis Vuitton, Miu Miu and Nina Ricci. Barbara captured the attention of Karl Lagerfeld after being cast in a Chanel Haute Couture show in Saint-Tropez. Lagerfeld subsequently booked her for multiple advertising campaigns for Chanel’s cosmetics and fragrance collections.
In less than two seasons on the international fashion circuit, Barbara famously walked her first Victoria’s Secret runway show and signed on as a global beauty ambassador for L’Oréal Paris. Only once during its history was Amsterdam both “capital” and seat of government. Between 1808 and 1810, during the Kingdom of Holland, King Louis Napoleon resided in Amsterdam and declared the city capital of his kingdom and seat of government. To accommodate the king, the grand seventeenth-century Town Hall of Amsterdam, prime example of the republican values that were prevalent for so long in the Netherlands, was converted into a Royal Palace.
In 1810 the Netherlands was annexed by the French Empire and King Louis Napoleon was replaced by a French governor, who took up residence in the Royal Palace in Amsterdam. From 1810 to 1813 Amsterdam kept its position of capital city somewhat, as Emperor Napoleon declared the city to be the third city of the Empire (after Paris and Rome) and an imperial residence. In December 1813, after the fall of Napoleon and the accession of Prince William VI of Orange as Sovereign of the Netherlands, The Hague was restored as the seat of government.
